Bulk Mode & Refresh Users

Bulk User Edit

To simplify user management, ActivityTimeline provides Bulk Mode on the User Management page.

Bulk Mode allows administrators to update user metadata for multiple users at once instead of editing each user individually. This is especially useful when managing larger teams or when you need to apply the same changes to many users.

To activate Bulk Mode:

  1. Go to Configuration → Users.

  2. Enable the Bulk Mode toggle on the User Management page.

Once Bulk Mode is enabled, you can select multiple users and assign or remove user-related attributes in bulk, such as roles, positions, capacity, skills, or other available user settings.

User Refresh

If new users were created in Jira but have not yet appeared in ActivityTimeline, you can synchronize them manually.

To refresh users:

  1. Go to Configuration → Users.

  2. Click Refresh Users.

After clicking Refresh Users, you will be redirected to the Synchronization page.

On this page, you can:

  • Run a manual user refresh.

  • Configure automatic user synchronization.

  • Define how often automatic user refresh should take place.

  • Set the default ActivityTimeline role for newly synchronized users.

This helps keep the ActivityTimeline user list aligned with users from your Jira instance.
