Scheduling Issues with Drag-and-Drop
ActivityTimeline’s drag-and-drop functionality makes Jira issue scheduling simple and visual.
You can drag issues from the Issue Panel and drop them directly onto a user’s timeline to assign and schedule work. You can also move already scheduled issues across users, dates, or team timelines to quickly adjust plans when priorities change.
When an issue is scheduled in ActivityTimeline, the related planning details are synchronized with Jira, depending on your field mapping and configuration.
Unscheduling or Unassigning a Jira Issue with Drag-and-Drop
If you need to remove a scheduled issue from a user’s timeline, you can do it in several ways including clearing Assignee or Date fields.
To do it with Drag-and-Drop:
-
Find the Jira issue on the timeline.
-
Drag the issue to the Unschedule or Unassign + Unschedule box in the bottom-left corner of the Planner.
-
Drop the issue into the required box.
Depending on the selected option, ActivityTimeline will either:
|
Option |
Result |
|---|---|
|
Unschedule |
Removes the issue from the timeline by clearing its Start and End Dates. The assignee remains unchanged. |
|
Unassign + Unschedule |
Removes the issue from the timeline and clears the assignee. The issue becomes unassigned and unscheduled in ActivityTimeline and Jira. |
