Team Management

A concept of a team is pretty straightforward in ActivityTimeline, which is essentially a group of people united into a single entity. A user can belong to multiple teams, which allows you to reflect cross-functional work, shared responsibilities, or involvement in several departments or project groups.

Note, that teams inside ActivityTimeline do not relate to Jira teams by default but can be imported into ActivityTimeline app.

Only people with Admin or Manager user roles can create or edit teams in ActivityTimeline.

There are 4 types of Teams in ActivityTimeline:

  • Classic,

  • Functional (aka Dynamic),

  • Teams imported from Jira Groups,

  • Jira Teams (Cloud only).

The difference behind these 4 types of teams is the way how they are formed and maintained.

Once teams are imported or created in ActivityTimeline, they appear in the Teams list as shown below:
