Release Notes v12.8

ActivityTimeline Cloud:  Released on

ActivityTimeline Server/DC: Released on

Recommended: Backup your Jira’s database before the upgrade.

Important note: AT v12.x update performs an automatic ActivityTimeline’s data migration for better performance on the first start so it may take a few minutes for the first start after an upgrade from v11.x depending on the amount of issues in your Jira DC.

This version update includes the following enhancements:

  • Team Capacity Chart - New Workload Options: You can now Include/ Exclude Workload for Users and Workload for Team Panel directly in the Team Capacity Chart. You can now analyze workload either at a high-level team view or drill down into individual user capacity within the same chart.

  • Team Utilization Forecast (Detailed) - New Workload Options: We’ve added the same Include/ Exclude Workload for Users and Workload for Team Panel options when grouping in the detailed Team Utilization Forecast. This allows you to switch between team-level and individual-level forecasting depending on how your planning is structured.

  • Bearer Token Support for REST API: REST API requests now support authorization via Bearer API Tokens. This enables more secure and modern authentication for integrations and automation.

  • New REST API Endpoints for Daily Worklog Summaries: We’ve added new REST API endpoints to return summarized worklogs per user per day. This simplifies building external reports and analytics on top of ActivityTimeline data.

GET /rest/api/1/worklogs?auth-token=YOUR_AUTH_TOKEN (since v12.9.0)
GET /rest/api/1/worklogs/$username?auth-token=YOUR_AUTH_TOKEN (since v12.9.0)
  • Improved user search by Skill/Position for Power Team Lead user role.

  • Added new "Half a Year – Weekly Scroll" mode to Scrollable Periods on the Planner.

  • Improved performance of Timeline Timesheets that are grouped by Epic.

  • Other improvements and fixes.

In addition, Jira 11.0.0 - 11.3.0 support is available in the app version ending with “-jira11” suffix.

If you are running Jira DC on the Microsoft SQL Server database with Windows Authentication then you would need to update the corresponding driver library to 12.10.2 (mssql-jdbc_auth-12.10.2.x64.dll)
