Recommended: Backup your Jira’s database before the upgrade.

Important note: AT v12.x update performs an automatic ActivityTimeline’s data migration for better performance on the first start so it may take a few minutes for the first start after an upgrade from v11.x depending on the amount of issues in your Jira DC.

This version update includes the following enhancements:

  • Introduced Quick Issue and Worklog Synchronization, allowing users to trigger issue syncs from a specific date using a built-in date/time picker. This update gives admins more control over sync operations and helps streamline data updates.

  • Added grouping options to Team Capacity Chart: You can now group the Team Capacity Chart by Issue, Epic, or any custom field, giving you more control over how you analyze and visualize team workload across different hierarchy levels.

  • API Update – Worklog Attributes Response: Starting from v12.3.0 to improve performance and reduce payload size, worklog attributes are no longer returned by default in the worklog API response. If you want to retrieve worklog attributes, use the following parameter in your API call:

  • Added Filtering and Grouping functionalities for Limited Employee role on a Workspace.

  • Added summary row to Excel version of exported detailed Timesheets popup.

  • Performance and security improvements.

  • Other improvements and fixes.

In addition, Jira 11.0.0 - 11.2.0 support is available in the app version ending with “-jira11” suffix.

If you are running Jira DC on the Microsoft SQL Server database with Windows Authentication then you would need to update the corresponding driver library to 10.2.4 (mssql-jdbc_auth-10.2.4.x64.dll
